About us
The Whaka-Ora Healthy Harbour programme is co-governed by five partner organisations: Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke, Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, Canterbury Regional Council (Environment Canterbury), Christchurch City Council, and the Lyttelton Port Company.
Each of these organisations has roles and responsibilities regarding the protection of Whakaraupō/Lyttelton Harbour. The five partners provide leadership and support for Whaka-Ora Healthy Harbour and undertake their projects to help achieve the vision of a healthy harbour.
Each of the partner organisations provides representatives to lead the programme, including co-governors, as well as senior managers who lead the operations of the programme. There is also a programme manager and a programme assistant.
